Within the framework of our project, on 20.5.2022, in Relaxpark Dolný Bar, an Infoday about the fish of the Klátovské rameno took place. The event was prepared on the occasion of the World Fish Migration Day 2022, which falls annually on 21 May.
The infoday was organized for the primary schools of Žitný ostrov 1-4. Grades 1-4 with Hungarian as the language of instruction. The event was attended by 5 primary schools – Ohrady, Trhová Hradská, Horné Mýto, Malé Dvorníky, Dolný Štál, and one kindergarten – Horné Mýto.
The event was organized by Slovak Watermanagement enterprise, s.e., as one of the project partners in cooperation with the remaining three project partners, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and OZ Zelené dedičctvo – Zöld örökség. The co-organisers were the Slovak Fisheries Union – Rada Žilina, the Secondary Vocational School of Agriculture and Veterinary, Ivanka pri Dunaji, MANOPORY, ELTE University Budapest and the Danube Meadows Protected Landscape Area.
The programme of the event included thematic lectures on the fish of the Klátovské rameno, on the division of fish into migratory and non-migratory and on the reasons that force fish to migrate, on wetland habitats, fish food, etc.
